After the earthquake, part of the bridge deck collapsed to the lower deck, and the bridge was closed for a month. The western suspension spans underwent an extensive seismic retrofit to replace most of the structural steel supporting the bridge deck. Due to various reasons, the renovation cost of the east span was too high to be replaced, so it was decided to replace it. JIUREY's jack-up system is a multi-point lifting system consisting of four jack-up towers located under each corner of the load. The lifting frame of each jack-up tower contains four hydraulic cylinders for lifting and stacking steel drums. The load is gradually lifted as the barrels are inserted, lifted and stacked by an automated system to form a lift tower. With lifting capacities ranging from 125 tons to 750 tons per tower. JIUREY used the jack-up system for the bridge lift.
